About Sean J. Jordan
I’m Sean. I write. I edit. I own and operate Army Ant Publishing, a comic book company. And I’m learning to play the banjo, for what it’s worth!
Many people ask me why I go by Sean J. Jordan and not just Sean Jordan. The truth is, my name is very common and there are at least two other Sean Jordans out there who write in the field of comic books, video games, movies, and other media. One of them wrote and edited a really nice magazine called “Zentertainment.” Obviously, I’m not him, though I do often get his email. Maybe I should consider a pen name…
On the bright side, I’ve written professionally for over a decade, penning over 500 articles in the video game industry (most notably for PCGameWorld.com) and writing/adapting several comic books for the now-defunct Alias Comics and Dabel Brothers Publishing. My books include:
- Dragonlance: The Legend of Huma #1-5
- Raymond E. Feist’s The Wood Boy #1-2
- Tad Williams’s The Burning Man #1-3
- Legacy #4
- Sixgun Samurai #1-5
- Imperial Dragons #1
- Devil’s Keeper #1-3
- Johnny Caronte: Zombie Detective (English Language adaptation)
I’ve also edited quite a few titles, including:
- Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter #1-5
- Orson Scott Card’s Wyrms #1-6
- Orson Scott Card’s Red Prophet #1-7
- Raymond E. Feist’s Magician #1-5
- Robert Silverberg’s The Seventh Shrine Illustrated Edition #1-2
- Legacy #1-3
Yep… I stay busy!
My current projects include:
- Code of the Wild: North American Wolverine vs. Timber Wolf - my flagship title, via Army Ant!
- Minus World - An original comic book series I’ve been patiently waiting to publish, with art by the fantastic Jesse Elliot
- Shifting Shadows, a novel about a ghost hunt debunking gone wrong that I’m about to start shopping around for a publisher.
- Interstellar- a serial novel about two galaxies that will one day crash into each other.
- The Computers are Talking- a tentative title for an amusing science fiction novel.
- Myths of the Man - 4 Baptists travel back in time in search of the historical Jesus. They find 6 in this offbeat novel.
- The Comic Book Writer’s Guide- located here on my website.
I hope you enjoy this website. Please let me know if you have any questions!
