They were handed a stack of screenplays to look over. Brian K. Vaughan has never, to my knowledge, had any relationship with the Dabel Brothers, and certainly was not a judge of that aspect of the competition. 2005's winner was called Gray Malkin's Omen of the Wendigo, and 2006's winner was called Dog Eaters.
